UIC Torches Saint Mary’s (Minn.) in Historic 117-59 Win

UIC didn’t just win Saturday at Credit Union 1 Arena — they rewrote the record books. The Flames (3-1) erupted for 117 points, their highest total in over 40 years, and posted their largest margin of victory since 1986 in a 117-59 demolition of Saint Mary’s (Minn.).

Joshua Reaves set the tone. The grad guard dropped a game-high 21 points, leading four Flames in double figures and nine players with at least eight.

Balanced firepower everywhere:

  • Ethan Pickett had his best game in a UIC jersey with 17.

  • Tyem Freeman added 16.

  • Filip Skobalj made the most of 12 minutes, burying 4 threes on his way to 14 points.

Efficiency on another level: UIC shot 60% from the field, 44.8% from deep, and 87.5% from the line — nearly a 50-40-90 night as a team. They also dished out 31 assists (two shy of a school record) while committing just six turnovers.

Junior guard Javon Jackson showed his versatility, dropping a career-high 10 assists with zero turnovers in under 20 minutes.

The Flames also hit double-digit threes (13-of-29) for the fourth straight game and posted their two highest-scoring halves since 2003.

Bottom line: UIC didn’t just bounce back — they made a statement. Balanced scoring, elite efficiency, and history-making numbers put this win in a category of its own.
